Replacement of Roofs in Clarion Woods

Adopted December 19, 2002

Revised December 10, 2022

Any homeowner in Clarion Woods planning to replace a roof is required to send a letter to the Association requesting approval and stating the choice of roof product including specifications and color. Please send your request to Clarion Woods Property Owners’ Association, 3749 SW Clarion Park Drive, Topeka, KS 66610 or email to jimstuck349@gmail.com.  If you use email please request a return receipt. This will ensure your email was received. The Board will reply in a timely manner.

To date, the Board of Directors has approved three CertainTeed product lines, one Boral product line, one GAF product line and one DaVinci product line as acceptable in Clarion Woods as follows:

CertainTeed Grand Manor Shingle. Acceptable colors are Black Pearl, Colonial Slate, Gatehouse Slate, Stonegate Gray, and Weathered Wood

CertainTeed Belmont Shingle. Acceptable colors are Black Granite, Colonial Slate, Gatehouse Slate, Stonegate Gray, and Weathered Wood

CertainTeed Presidential Two Piece Laminated Shake Shingle. Acceptable colors are Charcoal Black, Autumn Blend, Weathered Wood, and Shadow Gray

Boral Stone Coat Steel Shake Shingle. Acceptable colors are Western Wood and Weathered Timber

Although these roofs are approved, the homeowner remains responsible for contacting the Board before you move forward with replacing the roof. This will simply confirm for you and the Board that the proper roof has been selected. If you want to consider a roof other than those listed above, please contact Jim Stuck and he will confer with Board members for a vote on your request.
